Tuxedo and Dress Combos We Are Loving

Tuxedo and Dress Combos We Are Loving

Finding the perfect wedding dress for your big day is a tough enough decision on its own, but you also have to decide what the groom will wear! After all, although you’re the star of the show, everyone’s looking at both of you, and you want your husband to feel just as great as you do. Finding a great tux can be a difficult task, but we’ve decided to pair up with our friends at WT Clothiers to give you a few tips on finding a great tux.

Boho Weddings

For free spirited brides planning more bohemian, outdoor or beach weddings, especially if your ceremony is during the day, you may want to opt for something other than the traditional black tux. Aside from the obvious (your man might get a little hot in black depending on the time of year), going for a navy, khaki, or linen colored tux meets the more laid-back atmosphere of your wedding. We especially love the dark blue tux with this Sottero and Midgley gown—the more off-white, ivory colored gown pairs gorgeously with navy.

If you’re having a classically romantic wedding, you can’t beat a classic tux. The traditional black tux has been a mainstay for years for good reason: it’s nearly impossible for them to look bad. If you chose a classic A-line or ball gown dress, the timeless look of a traditional tux will look amazing next to your wedding dress. There’s something so romantic about a classic dress and tux combo that we just can’t get enough of!

Planning a more extravagant affair? If you’re having an evening wedding and chose an elaborate, intricately detailed dress like this Sophia Tolli fit and flare wedding dress, choosing a black and white tux like this one is a great way to go. A tux like this gives your man a slightly more elaborate look like yours without going overboard, and the slightly elevated look makes it look slightly more formal. You could even take this a step further and have the groom in a white jacket but all of the groomsmen in black to give the groom a look that stands out.
